We have just got back from a midweek break at longleat forest and it was fab! We have been going every year for the last 11 years, and last year was the only time we couldn't go as a complete family because Ted was "inside", so this year was extra special!
We were also taking Nanny Betty with us, and Ted followed her all week saying "Nanny and Betty!"
We crammed in as much as we could, and the kids had a blast! We took Ollie and Ted to see Santa, and Ted wasn't a bit starstruck, rushing in to his woodland workshop saying "cool, you got choochoo trains!!" and proceeded to play with the props!
Watching Ted chase around the play area, jump in and out of the waves and fling himself down the waterslides made me so delighted inside that we opted for a port a cath after his second Hickman line was removed.
He was able to be a little boy, whereas if he had the Hickman I would have been so nervous he would have had to watch from the sidelines!
Ethan LOVED it this year, because we allowed him to go to the pool on his own with his friends. He had so much more freedom and independance this time, as his swimming confidence is great. We always get the 2 storey apartments next to the plaza, so I wasn't worried he would get lost. He also played pool with his dad and went climbing with his cousins!
